What exactly is eTailer?
eTailer is an Ajax-enabled ecommerce module for DotNetNuke. Installing eTailer allows you to turn your DotNetNuke based website into a fully functional online store.

What versions of DotNetNuke does eTailer work with?
eTailer uses Ajax techniques to provide a faster and more user friendly interface. This support requires DotNetNuke version 4.5.x or higher.

Will eTailer install on DotNetNuke 3 or earlier?
No. eTailer has been designed and tested for DotNetNuke 4.5.x and above. It requires ASP.NET Ajax (which comes with DotNetNuke 4.5.x or above) and will not work on earlier versions of DotNetNuke).

What databases does eTailer work with?
eTailer has been tested with SQL Server 2005, it is compatible with SQL Server 2000, but has not been tested on any other databases.

How many DotNetNuke portals can I install my copy of eTailer on?
One purchase of eTailer entitles you to install an eTailer store on one production site. You can install your single copy of eTailer onto as many test portals as you require, but none of your test portals can be public.

Will I be entitled to free software upgrades after I make my purchase?
Yes. Once you purchase a copy of eTailer you are entitled to free upgrades in the future.

Does eTailer have a product/category import/export function?
Yes. Products and categories can be imported/exported through the standard DotNetNuke import/export fucntionality. You can access the import/export functionality from your category list modules.

How can my customers download my software/images/ebooks/files after purchasing them from my store?
Once an order has been set to the "Paid" status (which can be done either manually or automatically depending on the payment gateway in use) any downloads you have configured in your products are made available to your customers through the "My Account" module. Customers simply access the "My Account" module, click the "My Orders" button and select their order. Any available downloads are listed and can then be downloaded.

How can my customers download my software/images/ebooks/files after purchasing them from my store?

Can eTailer be localised?
Yes. All English text that can be displayed to the customer or store administrator is stored in resource files (.resx files), therefore the content can be fully localised.

Can the storefront animations (the fade effect) be customised/removed?
Yes. All animations are performed using the ASP.NET Ajax UpdatePanelAnimationExtender. To change or remove the animations, simply open the "DesktopModules\eTailer\eTailerStoreFront.ascx" file and locate the control with ID "UpdatePanelAnimationExtender1".

This control contains a set of animations which can be changed or removed according to your requirements. You can find more information about valid animations at the ASP.NET Ajax Toolkit Website.

How do I install eTailer into my DotNetNuke portal?
eTailer installs like any other DotNetNuke module (see here for a guide on installing DotNetNuke modules). There is one further step which needs to be performed after you have installed the module, details can be found in our Installation Guide.

I'm a software developer, can I buy the eTailer source code?
Yes. Just purchase the eTailer Source version available here.

eTailer doesn't work - can I get my money back?
If your copy of eTailer will not install or does not function correctly, then you are entitled to a full refund.

I'm having difficulty installing eTailer, what support can you offer?
You can contact our technical support team at any time using our contact form and we will attempt to help you. However, guaranteed support and/or response times are not included in any edition of eTailer. If you encounter an issue that cannot be solved to your satisfaction, then you are entitled to a full refund.

Do you have a live demo I can use to evaluate eTailer?
Yes. You can use our full demo here to evaluate eTailer.

What payment gateways does eTailer support?
eTailer supports PayPal, Google Checkout, and basic email ordering. Credit card purchases are also supported through Authorize.Net, although there is an additional purchase required to support this functionality.

Note that when using Google Checkout, the order management aspect of eTailer is taken over by the Google Checkout system. Your customer's basket is passed to Google Checkout, where payment is taken. You then manage the order through your Google Checkout merchant account.

If the payment gateway you require is not currently available for eTailer, don't worry! eTailer payment gateways are extensible and fully plug 'n play, if you need a custom payment gateway then the eTailer Payment Gateway Developer's Toolkit can be used by your developers to seamlessly integrate any payment gateway into eTailer.

Does eTailer implement PayPal's IPN?
No. eTailer does not currently support PayPal IPN.

Does eTailer use SSL?
eTailer runs under your own DotNetNuke installation. If your portal uses SSL, then so will eTailer.

I noticed that your demo has a customised search results page, is this part of eTailer?
No, this is a separate customisation of the DotNetNuke Search module. Currently, our customised search module is not available for download.

I noticed that your demo has a customised county dropdown in the checkout page, is this part of eTailer?
No, this is a separate customisation of the DotNetNuke CountryList control. Currently, our customised CountryList control is not available for download.

If I order your software, how do I pay?
Our chosen payment gateway is PayPal. When ordering software from us you pay using your credit/debit card or PayPal account.

If I buy your software, how will you deliver it to me?
Once we have received notification from PayPal that your payment has been made, we will email you with a Zip file containing your software. Emerald Solutions do not hold personal information about you, so it is vital that you provide your valid email address to PayPal so that we can forward your your software.

How soon will my software be delivered?
All software is delivered instantly once payment is made.
