Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is WebWarehouse?
WebWarehouse is an ecommerce module for DotNetNuke. It is an extension and upgrade of the open source Store module, which ships in standard installations of DotNetNuke 4 and above.

What databases does WebWarehouse work with?
WebWarehouse has been tested with SQL Server 2005, it is compatible with SQL Server 2000, but has not been tested on any other databases.

How many DotNetNuke portals can I install my copy of WebWarehouse on?
There is no limit. Once you have purchased any version of WebWarehouse you are free to install it to as many portals as you wish.

Will I be entitled to free software upgrades after I make my purchase?
No. There are no minor releases of WebWarehouse. All major revisions of WebWarehouse will need to be purchased separately. If, however, a major security or functionality flaw is discovered, then all users will receieve a free copy of the latest version of WebWarehouse.

How do I install WebWarehouse to my DotNetNuke portal?
This depends on whether you have the "Business" or "Developer" edition of WebWarehouse. The business module installs like any other DotNetNuke module (see here for a guide on installing DotNetNuke modules). The Developer edition of WebWarehouse is provided as source code, if you purchase this version of WebWarehouse you will need to compile this code and manually deploy it to your portal.

I'm a developer, can I buy the WebWarehouse source code?
Yes, you can. The WebWarehouse Developer package includes all WebWarehouse source code. It is provided as a Visual Studio 2005 project and is written in C#, with ASP.Net web user controls and a SQL script for creating database objects.

Do I need to be an experienced developer to use WebWarehouse Developer?
WebWarehouse is a DotNetNuke module, it is therefore recommended that you are experienced (or willing to learn) DotNetNuke module development techniques. At the very least, you would need to be familiar with ASP.Net and C# to get the most use out of our source code.

WebWarehouse Business doesn't work - can I get my money back?
If you purchased WebWarehouse Business, and WebWarehouse store will not install or does not function correctly, then you are entitled to a full refund.

WebWarehouse Developer doesn't work - can I get my money back?
Unfortunately, no. Since you have purchased our source code and therefore have a copy of all our work, we cannot offer refunds on WebWarehouse Developer.

You can contact our technical support team at any time using our contact form and we will attempt to help you. However, guaranteed support and/or response times are not included in any edition of WebWarehouse.

WebWarehouse supports PayPal, Authorize.Net's Advanced Integration Method, and basic email ordering.

IMPORTANT NOTE: to implement Authorize.Net's Advanced Integration Method, your portal must have a security certificate enabling access to the portal over SSL. You must also be running your portal in full trust mode.

Does WebWarehouse implement PayPal's IPN?
No. Due to complexity in the setup of IPN systems (for the business user) WebWarehouse does not support IPN.

Does WebWarehouse use SSL?
WebWarehouse runs under your own DotNetNuke installation. If your portal uses SSL, then so will WebWarehouse.

I noticed that your demo has a customised search results page, is this part of WebWarehouse?
No, this is a separate customisation of the DotNetNuke Search module. Currently, our customised search module is not available for download.

I noticed that your demo has a customised county dropdown in the checkout page, is this part of WebWarehouse?
No, this is a separate customisation of the DotNetNuke CountryList control. Currently, our customised CountryList control is not available for download.
